National Early Warning Score 2 (Royal College of Physicians, 2017)
NEWS2 is the UK standard for detecting and responding to clinical deterioration in adult patients. It assigns points to 7 physiological parameters and triggers graded clinical responses. Endorsed by NHS England as the sepsis alerting tool on hospital wards.
